Blanket 2010 DIY Calendar – Call for Artists!

Blanket magazine has always been about providing opportunities for emerging artists to be uncovered by a larger audience – and what better way than to uncover a new artist every month on the official Blanket 2010 calendar!
As part of their ‘Holiday’ issue, Blanket will be releasing a DIY download-and-make calendar and is providing you with the awesome opportunity to be one of the artists they uncover! Each artist will receive their own ‘month’ with their featured artwork, name and website address.

Curvy Submissions 2010

An International favorite amongst lovers of art and supporters of female artists, the annual CURVY book and exhibition series presents a selection of the most exciting female graphic artists and illustrators in the world today.
First launched in Sydney Australia in 2004, CURVY continues to be a best-selling publication and cult phenomenon around the globe.

Leeloo Exhibition- Submissions Call
Leeloo has established itself as a solid supporter of young emerging designers and artists, as well as providing a nurturing community environment to those involved.
As a result, Leeloo will be celebrating it’s 2nd birthday, and its ongoing mission to support local artists by holding its very own exhibition (and opening night party of course!).
Titled Once Upon, Leeloo is currently seeking talented artists within the Australian community for an exhibition to be held at aMBUSH gallery in Sydney from Thursday 19th November.
Keeping with the theme, all accepted artists will be allocated a fairy tale to provide a basis for interpretation for the works which will be displayed. Artworks provided will be for sale during the exhibition, with all pricing, specifications, entry fees and other details to be advised after acceptance.
The event will feature a sponsored opening night with strong industry support and exposure via our extensive online networks and other media. The Leeloo artists you will be exhibiting alongside are Bec Winnel (My Charlie Girl), Alicia Rosam (Ali J), Tabitha Patterson (Tabitha Emma) and Jessica Hyde (truth.be.told) amongst many others.
