Finders Keepers, Wild Things

SpringSummer_Sydney_Flyer_WebThe Finders Keepers are revving up for the end of year Sydney market. The Sydney Flier has just been released, featuring work by emerging Sydney artist Kevin Tran.

Finders Keepers is an ever growing amazing art and design market that showcases the work of over 60 emerging designers and artists from Sydney local designers to areas all around Australia.  With an amazing array of talent and people pouring in from all around Sydney, the Finders Keepers continues to introduce new and exciting both local and Australia wide designers and artists.

If you are an artist or designer in Sydney, (or if you want to come to Sydney for a weekend) and would like to sell your wares at the Finders Keepers market you can apply here. Applications close October 16.

This markets theme is Where The Wild Things Are. And from what i have seen with past markets, this is a hugely popular event, and well worthwhile, if you want to get your work out there. Also being around Christmas time, there will be lots of Christmas shoppers.

LeelooExhibition_Submissions_finasmll

Leeloo has established itself as a solid supporter of young emerging designers and artists, as well as providing a nurturing community environment to those involved.

As a result, Leeloo will be celebrating it’s 2nd birthday, and its ongoing mission to support local artists by holding its very own exhibition (and opening night party of course!).

Titled Once Upon, Leeloo is currently seeking talented artists within the Australian community for an exhibition to be held at aMBUSH gallery in Sydney from Thursday 19th November.

Keeping with the theme, all accepted artists will be allocated a fairy tale to provide a basis for interpretation for the works which will be displayed. Artworks provided will be for sale during the exhibition, with all pricing, specifications, entry fees and other details to be advised after acceptance.

The event will feature a sponsored opening night with strong industry support and exposure via our extensive online networks and other media. The Leeloo artists you will be exhibiting alongside are Bec Winnel (My Charlie Girl), Alicia Rosam (Ali J), Tabitha Patterson (Tabitha Emma) and Jessica Hyde (truth.be.told) amongst many others.

Submissions are due by 18th September. Click the above image for details or go to Leeloo Dog blog.
