Magnation and Bird in the Hand are hosting an exciting zine making day at the Magnation Newtown store (Sydney). They’ll have, “some pretty nifty interesting paper, magazines, fabrics, scissors and glue as well as staple facilities and writing implements to share.”

When: Saturday, 6th March. 10am-3pm

You may recall we recently released the first issue of the Forth Thread zine. ‘This ain’t digital’. We’ll we have now set up shop, and it is available for purchase here.

Featuring art and interviews from Neil Krug, David Thompson, Kareem Rizk, Becha, Brett Manning, The Yok, Craig Rochfort, Tom Hovey, Renee Anne, Natalie Sharp, Claire Cimbora, Rebecca Murphy, Natalie Perkins, and Chrissy Lau.

The zine is A5, colour with 48 pages filled with wonder art and interviews.
There is a limited edition of 1000, and each is hand numbered.

A big thank you to all artist involved, and to everyone who has supported us or been a part of Forth Thread in any way. Now get shopping!

We are yet to set up shop, and organise stockists, but if you are keen to get your hands on a copy just contact us. Or if you are interested in stocking the zine, also get in touch.

Artist Advent- Day 1

As a child you may have found great excitement in opening the little cardboard window of your advent calendar each day in December to reveal a little chocolate, which you quickly wolfed down.

Forth Thread thought wouldn’t it be great to re-live this exciting experience, with something far more satisfying then a small, cheap, strangely shaped half melted chocolate. Each day in December up until Christmas, we will showcase one talented artist with a unique piece of work specially created for the day.

So get up early each morning, and bolt to your computer, like a little child on Christmas day and open the window, to discover a new piece of art. What more could you want for Christmas?? (other than a new Mac).

Today we have kicked things off, with this lovely little number one illustration, by one of Forth Thread’s featured artists in the VERY soon to be released zine, Renee Anne
